Hall & Wilcox helps generate over $80m in capital raisings

Hall & Wilcox has helped generate over $80m in capital raisings.

Corporate partner John Hutchinson led the firm’s team, which included lawyers James Fisher and Rebecca Kazzi, in advising property group Arena REIT and workspace company Victory Offices Limited in their respective raising efforts in June.

The capital raising for Arena REIT, an ASX300-listed company, involved a $60m fully unwritten institutional placement and a $10m securities purchase plan. The equity will be used to enable the company to “pursue further social infrastructure property investments,” Hall & Wilcox said.

Morgan Stanley served as the underwriter for the institutional placement.

“We are delighted to have assisted the Arena REIT team on another highly successful equity raising. Arena REIT has been a valued client of Hall & Wilcox since its ASX debut in 2013, and it is fantastic to be able to assist in its continued growth,” Hutchinson said of the firm’s role in the deal.

Law graduate Michael Henderson provided additional support to the team on the transaction.

Meanwhile, the raising effort for Victory Offices Limited involved a $15.3m fully underwritten rata non-renounceable entitlement offer. The equity will be applied to boosting the company’s balance sheet under the COVID-19 environment.

“We are delighted to have assisted Victory Offices’ recent capital raising, which leaves the company well-positioned as business conditions improve,” Hutchinson said.

Lawyer David Holland also supported Hutchinson and his team on the deal.
