Corrs Chambers Westgarth has promoted Frieda Chan, Franka Cheung, Caitlin Chiu and Kirsty Davis to partners across the firm’s offices in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Chan specialises in commercial litigation and class actions. She has provided guidance on large-scale and complex matters to clients in the technology and professional services industries.

She has represented global technology platforms on contentious issues and regulatory investigations, particularly those associated with consumer protection, competition privacy, and technology. Moreover, she has defended several professional services firms in shareholder class actions.

Cheung has tackled major project developments, acquisitions and disposals, and corporate commercial arrangements as an energy and resources practitioner. In particular, she focuses on matters in the energy transition, electricity, and mining sectors.

Her clients include project sponsors, equity investors, governments, state-owned enterprises (domestic and foreign), and private equity funds. She operates from Brisbane.

Chiu has worked with borrowers and lenders on corporate finance matters such as leveraged finance, acquisition finance, and fund finance. She has advised sponsors, senior and mezzanine lenders, super funds, and debt funds across various sectors on high-profile and complex transactions.

She works with the banking and finance team in Melbourne.

Davis specialises in planning and environment law, working with private sector and government clients on major transport infrastructure projects, mining projects, and commercial, industrial, and residential real estate projects. She has handled issues related to planning approval processes, environmental impact assessments, contamination, pollution and waste law, regulatory investigations and prosecutions, compulsory land acquisition, and planning and infrastructure agreements.
