Former Shell plc legal director among ACC noms for global board

A former legal director of Shell plc is the sole Australian nominee announced by the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) as it unveiled the list of candidates for nomination to the 2025 ACC Global Board of Directors.

Donny Ching is presently a director on the board. He is among the names on the list for ACC Nominations and Governance Committee Members, which, aside from Ching, comprise the following:

  • Cristina Gonzalez, chief legal officer, Staples, Inc., USA (chair).
  • Tracy Preston, chief legal officer and corporate secretary, Macy’s, Inc., USA.
  • Adrian Goss, general counsel, audio and publishing UK, Bauer Media, UK
  • Naveen Raju, general counsel and executive vice president, group legal, Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, India.
  • Lisa Fleischer, chief legal officer, De Lage Landen Financial Services, Inc., US (at-large member).
  • Tia Gilford, assistant general counsel, ads legal, Meta Platforms Inc., US (at-large member)

Among the nominees for the 2025 board are legal executives from Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies. The other nominees are as follows:

ACC Global Board of Director candidates to be nominated for election to a first term

  • Aviram Gavish, vice president and general counsel, Alon Blue Square Israel Ltd., Israel.
  • Dirk Naumann, general counsel, executive vice president, legal and regulatory, Orange Business, France and Germany. 
  • Inderpreet Sawhney, group general counsel and chief compliance officer, Infosys Limited, USA and India

ACC Global Board of Director candidates to be nominated for election to a second term

  • Sahia Ahmad, chief executive officer – regulatory policy and governance sector, Dubai Economy and Tourism, UAE.
  • Kobie Conner, senior director, business and legal affairs, film, Netflix, Inc., US.
  • Shannon Klinger, chief legal officer and corporate secretary, Moderna, US.
  • Justin Martin, associate general counsel, Electric Power Research Institute, US
