ACC announces new members of the 2024 global board of directors

The Association of Corporate Counsel has announced newly elected officers and directors of the 2024 ACC global board of directors. The board members, who hail from Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia and North America, were sworn in during the ACC 2023 Annual Meeting this week.

"The ACC 2024 global board of directors are an incredibly talented, diverse, and experienced group of individuals who are dedicated to contributing their vast business and legal expertise to ACC," said Veta T. Richardson, president and CEO of ACC. "With members from around the world, ACC’s board has the knowledge and perspective to help ACC continually improve how we serve our global membership."

The 2024 ACC global board of directors includes general counsel and chief legal officers spanning Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies around the world.

“ACC is an incredibly valuable organization for thousands of in-house counsel around the world, and I am honored for the opportunity to serve as its global board chair,” said Tracy Preston, newly elected ACC global board chair. “As always, the number of highly qualified candidates made the selection process difficult, and we greatly appreciate everyone’s interest in serving our association as board members. This year’s board is again an impressive group of volunteers who are excited to help educate and connect with our members and the broader global in-house community.”

. The 2024 officers are as follows:

  • Tracy Preston, EVP, CLO, corporate secretary & chief compliance officer, HanesBrands, Inc. (chair)
  • Cristina Gonzalez, chief legal officer, Staples, Inc. (vice-chair)
  • David Bamlango, general counsel & senior executive, trade and development bank (treasurer)
  • Sahia Ahmad, chief executive officer, regulatory policy & governance sector, Dubai Economy and Tourism (secretary)

In addition, the new directors of the ACC global board of directors include:

  • Sandrine Auffret, executive vice president, chief legal officer & company secretary, ASML
  • Andrew Finch, general counsel & group executive OCEO, Qantas Airways Ltd
  • Jessie Loong, senior vice president, legal and company secretary, Changi Airport Group
  • Hossein Nowbar, chief legal officer, Microsoft Corporation
