Former Constantine Cannon lawyers specializing in whistleblower cases launch new law firm

A group of ten lawyers from the US-based law firm Constantine Cannon announced their departure to form a new legal practice dedicated to handling whistleblower cases, Reuters reported.

The newly established firm is named Whistleblower Partners. The lawyers brought their existing clients who were involved in notable cases at Boeing, Meta's Facebook, and Theranos. The team at Whistleblower Partners comprises nine partners and one associate, in addition to a group of senior counsel and of counsel who will serve part-time.

Michael Ronickher, one of the partners, emphasized the firm’s mission to advance whistleblower allegations and champion related issues, such as expanding government incentive programs for whistleblowers. "You certainly have more freedom, as a whistleblower-focused firm, to sue whoever needs to be sued," Ronickher said.

Whistleblower Partners took on several high-profile clients, including a former Facebook employee who leaked documents that contributed to a Wall Street Journal probe and a Senate hearing regarding the supposed negative impact of Meta-owned Instagram on teenage girls. Facebook refuted claims of promoting harmful content and stated it had implemented measures to better address misinformation and detrimental content.

The new law firm also took on a former Boeing manager who warned about production issues at the 737 MAX factory in 2019 and a former employee at Theranos, whose disclosures about fraudulent practices at the company led to the conviction of its founder and president.

Ronickher stated that the new firm would continue representing these individuals “in their whistleblower efforts.” According to partner Hallie Noecker, the firm has full-time lawyers in New York, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.

In a recent statement, Constantine Cannon expressed confidence in the success of the new whistleblower firm. Ronickher and Constantine Cannon said the two firms are collaborating on several ongoing matters.

The founding members of Whistleblower Partners include Michael Ronickher Hallie Noecker, Ari Yampolsky, Chris McLamb, Eric Havian, Hamsa Mahendranathan, Mary Inman, Max Voldman, Poppy Alexander, and associate Liz Soltan.
