The inaugural 25 winners did remarkable work in M&A and the debt and equity markets, among others

First-ever cohort of the best dealmakers in Australia and New Zealand unveiled

The first-ever batch of Dealmakers of the Year has been announced by Australasian Lawyer and NZ Lawyer.

Those who were part of the illustrious group showcased an impressive array of skills in their work on both domestic and global deals, which involved complex matters and spanned multiple jurisdictions.

“Every transaction has its stressful moments; it’s important as a key adviser on the transaction to be balanced and less emotional than the parties who are actually invested”, explained Dealmaker of the Year Ilan Kraus, who works with Maddocks.

“You get used to moving from transaction to transaction, but at the same time, it’s critical to show the clients that you care”.

Kraus is joined in the winner’s circle by Madison Marcus’ Bechara Shamieh.
