HSF is advising AccorHotels Group on its proposed $1.2bn takeover of Mantra Group, which is being advised by Baker McKenzie.

AccorHotels – which has a portfolio of more than 4,100 hotels and resorts, and more than 3,000 fine private residences across 95 countries – is adding Mantra’s portfolio of 127 properties. Mantra’s properties have more than 20,000 rooms and are located across Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, and Hawaii. The deal is expected to close by March 2018.

Jenny Selby, AccorHotels general counsel for the Pacific region, leads the company’s internal legal team.

HSF’s team is being led by partners Rebecca Maslen-Stannage and Liza Carver. They are assisted by senior associate Malika Chandrasegaran and solicitors Asa Tan and Alice Li. Partner Christopher Blue, who is supported by executive counsel Leone Costigan, is working on the real estate aspects of the deal.

Baker McKenzie’s lead partner is Lauren Magraith. The firm’s team is also being led by partners Guy Sanderson and Georgina Foster. They are assisted by senior associate Jeanie Chang, and associates Emily Hunter and Matthew De Cataldo.

AccorHotels’ financial advisor is UBS, while Mantra’s financial advisor is Highbury Partnership.
