DLA Piper boosts Asia corporate practice with new hire

DLA Piper has appointed Xin Fang as a partner in its corporate practice, based in Hong Kong.

Fang joins from Mayer Brown, where she worked in the Hong Kong corporate & securities practice. She brings a wealth of experience advising on cross-border M&A, joint ventures, and PE transactions with a focus on Greater China and the Asia Pacific region. She also advises on all matters of corporate and commercial law.

“I am delighted to welcome Xin to our team in Hong Kong,” said Luke Gannon, who leads DLA Piper’s corporate practice in Asia. “As an experienced M&A lawyer who speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese and English, Xin will strengthen our existing corporate offering for our clients in Hong Kong and the wider region. The team and I are very much looking forward to her joining us.”

DLA Piper’s international global co-chair of corporate, Benjamin Parameswaran, added: “Xin’s appointment forms part of our Asia corporate group’s long term strategy to continue developing our M&A practice in the region, and we are excited to have her on board.”

Germany-based Parameswaran was appointed as global co-chair for the firm’s corporate practice in November, 2022.
