He joins Corrs' partnership in Sydney
Corrs Chambers Westgarth (Corrs) has snatched Costa Koutsis from Ashurst, where he was global co-head of its tax practice.
Koutsis joins the partnership in Sydney. He specialises in indirect tax and brings over two decades of experience handling stamp duty, GST and land tax in relation to complex transactions.
“Costa is very well regarded for his technical ability, strong relationships and extensive experience. He is one of Australia’s foremost stamp duty and indirect tax lawyers and he will be another strong addition to our tax team”, said Gavin MacLaren, Corrs senior partner and CEO.
Koutsis has tackled domestic and cross border M&A, capital raisings, privatisations, restructures and property investment and development transactions. Before his tenure at Ashurst, he spent over 10 years as a partner at PwC and also logged a stint with Baker McKenzie’s partnership.
