A capital markets experts has joined Dorsey & Whitney as a partner in Hong Kong, moving from another global firm.

David Cameron has been welcomed by the US-headquartered firm from Allen & Overy (A&O), where he was counsel in the capital markets practice. Prior to A&O, Cameron was an associate at Linklaters. He is a registered foreign lawyer in Hong Kong and is admitted in New York.

“David Cameron is a superb capital markets lawyer with extensive experience and deep expertise in multi-jurisdictional debt and equity transactions, especially those emanating across Asia. He will be a terrific addition to our strong capital markets practice in Hong Kong,” said partner Simon Chan, who leads Dorsey’s Hong Kong office.

The appointment is another example of Dorsey’s strategic hiring to build its depth and breadth across practices in Asia, Europe, and North America, said Ken Cutler, the firm’s managing partner.

Cameron is an expert in advising corporate and investment banking clients on debt and equity offerings pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S under the US Securities Act of 1933, including high-yield, investment grade, private placements, block trades and medium-term note programs for issuers across Asia, Dorsey said.
