BigLaw firm Reed Smith launches Atlanta office to be led by Amie Singer

BigLaw firm Reed Smith has launched an Atlanta office with 15 major hires from Atlanta firm Morris, Manning & Martin and global firm Greenberg Traurig joining the partnership.

Of these 15, 7 are former practice group chairs and co-chairs:

  • Scott Allen – private equity practice co-chair (MMM)
  • Anthony Boggs – tax practice chair (MMM)
  • Cindy Davis - banking and financial services practice chair (Greenberg Traurig)
  • Nick Foreste – emerging companies and venture capital practice co-chair (MMM)
  • Chris Maxwell – growth equity practice chair (MMM)
  • Nicholas Rueter - international transactions practice chair (MMM)
  • Matt San Roman – technology transactions and artificial technology practice chair (MMM)

The other partners are:

  • Will Atherton - commercial and retail bank regulation, financial technology, and cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and fintech
  • Larkin Ellzey - middle-market and lower middle-market mergers and acquisitions (MMM)

  • Justin Ward - mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, private equity offerings, entity formation, and governance (MMM)

Singer will lead the 37-strong Atlanta office as managing partner. The team also includes 2 counsel and 20 associates.
