Allens has elevated Sarah Kuman to partner in Papua New Guinea.

Kuman began her career with the firm as a clerk in Port Moresby in 2002. The commercial lawyer acts for clients in the resources, energy, and infrastructure sectors.

She finished her law degree at the University of Papua New Guinea and was among the group that established the Papua New Guinea Women Lawyers Association.

Richard Spurio, Allens managing partner, said Kuman is known for combining her technical expertise and client relationships. She is also passionate about the progression of women in the country, he said.

“Sarah is a terrific role model and mentor to other graduates and younger lawyers and is a senior leader across the business,” said David Hill, Allens’ PNG practice director who returned to the firm in late October.
Allens has had a presence in Port Moresby for more than 20 years.
