Award recognises the achievements of the best young in-house counsel across the globe

ACC reveals winners of prestigious global award

The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) has unveiled the recipients of the 2021 Top 10 30-Somethings Awards, recognizing the achievements of the best in-house counsel aged between 30 and 39 years old across the globe.

This year’s awardees hail from the US, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region, and hold senior roles at Fortune 500 and Global 500 companies.

In a statement, the ACC said that the honourees were chosen because of their “innovative contributions” to their organisations, and the “depth and context of their participation in efforts to advance advocacy, pro bono services, and diversity in the legal profession.” This year’s awardees also include three honourable mentions.

  • Joanne Flack, senior director of legal, Rackspace Technology, US
  • Craig Katerberg, chief legal and corporate affairs officer, Budweiser APAC, Hong Kong
  • Tarek Nakkach, regional legal counsel of UKIMESA, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, UAE
  • Akshar Patel, vice-president, AGC Corporate & Commercial, and assistant corporate secretary, Flowserve Corporation, US
  • Nicole Tupman, assistant general counsel, Midco, US
  • Larry F. Venturelli, attorney and paralegal team manager, Zurich North America, US

Honourable mentions:

The Top 10 30-Somethings Awards were sponsored by Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP. This year, the ACC received 135 nominations from 12 countries. The awardees were chosen by a 15-person judging panel, which was comprised of members from ACC’s global chapters, including 10 previous Top 10 30-Something winners.
