MinterEllison has promoted 10 to partner in its latest massive promotions round, which saw a total of 91 elevated to senior roles.

The new cohort of partners consists of five women and five men, putting the firm on track to hit its 2025 40:40:20 partnership target. CEO and managing partner Virginia Briggs described the newly minted partners as “adaptable and client-focused leaders” who “bring new thinking and perspectives to the firm's leadership”.

The lawyers joining the partnership are as follows:

  • Patrick Considine – media, insurance and corporate risk, Melbourne
  • David Chin – real estate, Melbourne
  • Leyla Dixon – workplace, Brisbane
  • Taya Hunt – migration, Brisbane
  • Usman Khan – MinterEllison Consulting, technology consulting, Melbourne
  • Fiona Lewis – regulatory, energy and renewables, Melbourne
  • Briony Pole – workplace, Perth
  • Tanya Sciasci – real estate leasing, Brisbane
  • Bruno Solia – technology, digital and data, Sydney
  • Mark Teys – technology, digital and data, Sydney

“We invest in our pipeline of future partners. And we give careful consideration to the diversity of our leadership and workforce”, Briggs said.

MinterEllison also elevated 14 special counsel, 4 executive directors, 4 directors, 51 senior associates, and 8 senior managers. The firm confirmed that most of the promotions are of women.

“The legal and consulting promotions reflect increasing client and business demand in data privacy, digital transformation and procurement, cyber security, governance advice, AI and innovation, dispute resolution, tax, ESG, and workplace and industrial relations”, the firm said. “The firm's consulting services – MinterEllison Consulting – is seeing growing demand for digital transformation, cyber security and governance advice, and the use and impact of emerging technologies”.
