SA firm names new partner
A mid-tier South Australian firm has scored a partner from a rival.

Mellor Olsson has appointed James McEwen as partner. The property, infrastructure, and commercial law specialist comes from Wallmans Lawyers, where he was partner for nearly four years.

Greg Arthur, Mellor Olsson’s managing partner, said that the firm is pleased that its property team is continuing this growth alongside the commercial and estate planning areas of the firm. McEwen’s work in the property, local government, and agriculture sectors fit with the firm’s core client bases, Arthur said.

The new partner has been working in Northern Territory and South Australia in both public and private practice for almost 20 years. He works with private, local government, and agriculture clients.

Mellor Olsson now has 14 partners. The SA is headquartered in Adelaide. It also has offices in Port Lincoln, Clare, Bordertown, Kadina, Keith, McLaren Vale, and Nuriootpa.
