Andrew Cordner, the director of legal at Fonterra, leads a highly experienced and agile global legal team of 25 lawyers based in New Zealand, Australia, China, Chile, the US and Brazil. The team provides legal support to New Zealand’s largest company, covering a diverse range of international operations and sales over 140 markets. Under Cordner’s leadership, the team has played a key role in several significant projects such as reviewing the Dairy Industry Restructuring Act which involved engagement with government and political officials, and helping build a strategic alliance with Coca Cola in Southeast Asia.
