Seasoned litigator joins Vitaco as GC

Seasoned litigator and dispute resolution specialist Catherine Fry has joined Vitaco as its new GC, reported the New Zealand Law Society.

“As Vitaco enters the next phase of growth, we are extremely pleased to welcome Catherine to our team. Catherine brings to Vitaco great experience and demonstrated talent in managing a wide range of legal areas,” President/CCO Andrew Folkard said.

For 11 years, Fry specialised in commercial litigation and dispute resolution. She logged stints at AJ Park and MinterEllisonRuddWatts before joining the independent bar.

Subsequently, she moved on to the GC position at a data storage startup in New Zealand. She also served as NZ business project lead, a role in which she helped the company to relocate its HQ to the US.

“We are excited and confident in Catherine’s ability to translate her skills and provide our commercial teams and leadership the exceptional support, risk mitigation and commercial outcomes we need,” Folkard said.
