AWS Legal has promoted Jono Cole to partner.
Cole ascends to the role after just over a year with the firm. He is based in Queenstown and specialises in corporate and commercial law.
He has tackled commercial and residential property matters such as leasing and conveyancing, as well as shareholder and contract disputes, and insolvency and restructuring matters. His main areas of practice at the firm include M&A, regulatory issues, and medico-legal matters.
Cole has worked on complex post-merger integrations, and his clients include government entities and high-growth startups in the hospitality industry. He is also an expert in commercial dispute resolution and managing investor relationships.
His promotion took effect earlier this month.
