Webb Farry names new partner

Otago commercial-law specialist firm Webb Farry has appointed Lucia Vincent as a partner.

The senior lawyer, who was promoted from associate, is a specialist in employment law. She is a member of the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution team.

She joined the firm in 2015 from Copeland Ashcroft Law, where she was a senior solicitor. Since then, she has also undertaken civil litigation law work.

Vincent earned her BA (Hons) and LLB from Otago University. She is a member of the New Zealand Law Society’s Employment Law Committee and a member of the Otago branch Council.

In addition to her legal career, Vincent is also an athlete. She represented New Zealand in her age group at the 2017 ITU standard-distance triathlon in the Netherlands. She is also involved in classical singing, acting, and contemporary dance.

Webb Farry now has five partners, three of whom are women. This is the first time in the firm’s history that its partnership has more women than men.
