Wakefields Lawyers makes senior promotion

Wakefields Lawyers has promoted Michelle Stapleton to director, according to the New Zealand Law Society (NZLS).

According to NZLS, Stapleton joined the firm in 2019, with a specialised background working in private client work, trusts, estates, and succession planning, as well as relationship property matters. She is also experienced in property matters, including residential and commercial conveyancing, and financing transactions for private and corporate clients.

Stapleton graduated from Queen Mary, the University of London with an LLB in 2005 and completed her master’s degree from the University of Auckland in 2010.

The move represents the latest promotion at the Wellington-based firm. Last month, Wakefields Lawyers promoted several key members of its team – including one senior associate and two associates.
