The in-house vets have held senior roles and worked across industries like fintech and TMT
Victoria Loveday, David Jun and Richard Boyd have joined Juno Legal.
Loveday will operate from Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, while Jun and Boyd will work from Ōtautahi Christchurch.
“We’re so happy to welcome Victoria, David, and Richard to the Juno team”, Juno Legal director Helen Mackay said. “Based in Auckland and Christchurch, they are well-placed to provide on-the-ground support in these regions or to collaborate remotely with organisations across Aotearoa”.
All three have over a decade of experience in the in-house market, having held senior roles and worked across the TMT and fintech industries. They bring knowledge of governance, privacy, technology, and risk management matters; moreover, they have taken on international in-house positions.
Loveday’s legal career spans 12 years and focuses on company secretarial, governance, financial services, corporate and commercial law, and technology. She initially practised in Sydney with Truman Hoyle (now Bird & Bird) and logged a stint at Clearview Wealth Limited before transitioning to GC roles with Easy Crypto and Pie Funds Management Limited.
Before making the jump to Juno Legal, she was company secretary and senior legal counsel at Serko Limited.
Jun has practised law for 11 years and is an expert in banking and finance, privacy, regulatory compliance, and technology matters. His clients have included startups and growth businesses.
He was Discovrd’s COO and GC; in addition, he was Vivid Money Group’s group head of compliance, MD, and board member. He also recorded stints at Kenton Chambers, MBIE, One NZ (previously Vodafone), Jeju Shinhwa World, Remote, Vivid Money Group and LG Chem global headquarters. At present, he supports Alliance.
Boyd has a dozen years of legal experience under his belt, concentrating on corporate and commercial law, competition, consumer law, privacy, and technology matters. He made the jump to Juno Legal from Loyalty New Zealand Limited, where he was GC.
He has worked with MinterEllisonRuddWatts, as well as with DS Smith and BT Global Services in London. He is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales. At Juno Legal, he is supporting Lyttelton Port Company.
“With strong in-house leadership and governance experience, gained early in their careers, combined with expertise in technology, startups, privacy, listed companies, and international experience, they can offer fresh perspectives and deliver high-quality legal support that is both practical and accessible”, Mackay said.
