Two new corporate partners for Ashurst in Australia

Greg Golding and Rob Hanley have joined the corporate team in Sydney as partners.

Golding joins from King & Wood Mallesons where he was a partner for 28 years. He specialises in public M&A and complex corporate transactions.

Hanley has 25 years of experience in London and Sydney with Minter Ellison, King & Wood Mallesons, and Seyfarth Shaw. He focuses on private M&A and restructurings across a range of sectors.

Ashurst’s Australia corporate head, Phil Breden says the additions to the team follow recent hires of partners Dan Yang in Sydney and Ratha Nabanidham in Brisbane.

“The team had its busiest year on record in 2018, advising on landmark transactions such as the Nine/Fairfax merger and Oxford Properties' successful contested takeover of the Investa Office Fund, and we have ambitions to continue to grow the practice in the near future,” he said.

Meanwhile, Kennedys in Bangkok has promoted senior consultant Ian Johnston to partner.
