Knight, who became a partner in the firm's Auckland commercial litigation group, is a construction litigation and dispute resolution specialist. She has acted for contractors, principals, local authorities and consultants in more than 100 mediations and judicial settlement conferences. She has more than 20 years' experience in negotiating and advising on construction contracts and all forms of construction dispute litigation.

Cairns, who was named a partner in the firm’s Wellington banking and finance group, is a specialist in corporate finance and restructuring and insolvency law. His experience includes advising banks, financial institutions, corporates, and local authorities in matters that include transactional banking, project finance, acquisition finance, master lease programs, and syndications.
