The Women in Law summit: changing the legal landscape

Auckland’s Women in Law Summit is just under a month away. And when this event hits – a day-long gathering of high-profile thought leaders with a packed agenda of topics – it’s sure to bring with it lasting changes for the legal sector.

Many of those changes will be under the spotlight in one of the summit’s many panel discussions: ‘Championing change: a discussion with law’s leaders’.

Some of the most eminent figures in NZ law – Bell Gully chair Anna Buchly, Simpson Grierson Chair Anne Callinan, Russell McVeagh Chair Malcolm Crotty and Kensington Swan CEO Charles Spillane – will be examining the fundamentals of much-needed industry changes: how to proactively combat sexual harassment in firms, how law leaders can make their firms more inclusive for women, whether salaries should be transparent and what the future holds for women in NZ’s legal giants.

The Women in Law Summit takes place at the Cordis Auckland on Tuesday 18 September.
