87 young stars shone the brightest among their peers
Australasian Lawyer and NZ Lawyer have unveiled 2025’s Future Legal Leaders for Australia and New Zealand.
Key to being a future legal leader is being “visionary, culturally grounded and technologically fluent”, with the ability to tackle the emerging challenges of AI, climate change and digital privacy “while maintaining a strong understanding of black letter law and having an ethical compass and a commitment to justice”, according to Law Association of New Zealand President Tony Herring.
McCaw Lewis’ Chantelle Holland champions the applicability of tikanga Māori in employment law. Her years of experience have also taught her the importance of delegation to a leader.
“I want to be an encouraging leader who is deeply invested in the development, learning and progression of those around me”, she told NZ Lawyer.
Holland joins two fellow New Zealand-based winners – Fortune Manning’s Matthew Orange and Cooney Lees Morgan’s Robbie Bennett.
