The seasoned executive’s has a multi-sector background and a strong alignment to the firm’s values

Simpson Grierson names senior airline exec as HR director

Simpson Grierson has named Paula Williams as its new human resources director.

Williams joins the firm from Air New Zealand, where she was senior HR business partners in the air operations and business performance group.

She also has multi-sector experience. She was an HR consultant at EY and a senior consultant at ANZ She also held various senior roles at IAG, including national recruitment manager; talent, succession, mobility and leadership manager; and senior HR business partner.

“Paula’s background and strong alignment with our firm’s ‘people first’ values, make her the right person to guide our diversity and inclusion, safety and wellness, recruitment and community engagement initiatives,” said Anne Callinan, Simpson Grierson chair. “She has a true understanding of how to foster an inclusive culture for a diverse, multi-generational workforce, and will be working closely with the firm’s business transformation team to grow and accelerate our digital mind-set and culture.”

Williams has a master’s degree in advanced leadership, with distinction, from Massey University. She is currently working on a master’s degree in technological futures at the Unitec Institute of Technology.
