Mactodd Lawyers director Scott Donaldson and Daniel Overton Goulding partner Bronwyn Hantz have taken their seats on NZ LAW Limited’s national board.

They take the places of Amanda Crehan and Sam Walker, who both retire after six years as directors. The appointments were made official at NZ LAW Limited’s annual general meeting on 10 October.

Donaldson is based in Queenstown. He focuses on commercial, property and private client law, working with South Island property developers, business owners and investors. He also brings ownership and governance experience from the hospitality and property sectors.

Hantz operates from Auckland. She specialises in private client and commercial law and has tackled matters involving business structuring, contract drafting, asset planning, property and construction and private lending arrangements.

Donaldson and Hantz will work together with NZ LAW Limited board chair Shehan de Silva (Corcoran French, Christchurch), as well as fellow directors Jane Fletcher (Downie Stewart, Dunedin), Greg Kelly (Greg Kelly Law Ltd, Wellington), and Chris Steenstra (Norris Ward McKinnon, Hamilton).

de Silva praised the contributions of outgoing directors Crehan and Walker. Crehan played a key role in launching NZ LAW Limited’s IT special interest group; she also helped develop a framework supporting member firms implementing new CRM systems. Meanwhile, Walker spearheaded the organisation’s staff training portfolio.
