Russell McVeagh partner named Law Society large law firms representative

Sarah Keene has been named the representative of large law firms on the New Zealand Law Society council.

Keene, a partner at Russell McVeagh, succeeded Laura O’Gorman. She is based in Auckland.

She leads Russell McVeagh’s internationally recognised competition, public, and regulatory law group. She is also known for her work in litigation. She is also the co-chair of the firm’s diversity committee.

Keene earned her BA and LLB (Hons) from the University of Auckland in 1995. She began her legal career at Russell McVeagh in 1996.

She then joined Clifford Chance before moving back to New Zealand to become a senior associate at MinterEllisonRuddWatts. She then returned to Russell McVeagh and rose to partner in 2006.
