Caroline Silk is set to vacate her role as New Zealand Law Society | Te Kāhui Ture o Aotearoa’s vice president – Central North Island.

The Law Society confirmed that the move would take effect after its AGM on 12 April. Silk will be moving on to serve as the CEO of mental health care provider Taranaki Retreat.

She took up the Central North Island vice presidency and was elected to the board in April 2022. In addition to being vice president, Silk was chair of the Law Society’s People and Capability Committee.

President Frazer Barton praised Silk’s contributions to the organisation. The Law Society confirmed that it would name a new Central North Island vice president at the AGM. The new vice president will finish out Silk’s term, which will conclude at the 2025 AGM.
