New Zealand Law Awards goes virtual for 2020

It’s time once again to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the nation’s top law firms, in-house counsel, dealmakers and individuals as the New Zealand Law Awards kicks off its 17th edition. For the first time, the annual event will be held virtually on 10 December.

After an unprecedented and challenging year, the event will celebrate excellence and leadership in the legal profession. All readers and members of the NZ Lawyer community are invited to be a part of it.

The expert panel of judges have faced the difficult task choosing the winners, spending the last few months reviewing, evaluating and selecting the best from a very high calibre of nominations. Judges have commented on the particularly high standard of nominations this year, with hundreds of incredible stories of leadership submitted. Winning a New Zealand Law Award is the pinnacle of achievement for the legal profession.

Kiwi news and radio personality Ryan Bridge kicks off the announcement of winners at 6pm.

Then for the first time in the history of the NZ Law Awards, attendees and NZ Lawyer readers will receive exclusive access to moderated panel discussions with the winners and finalists to be released in early 2021. This provides an opportunity to go behind the scenes and hear directly from the nation’s most inspiring legal professionals about the secrets of their success and the way that they have supported their clients through 2020.

To be part of the one-of-a-kind special virtual gathering on 10 December, register now for free at www.lawawards.co.nz.

Attendees will be given access to the panel discussions with the finalists in early 2021.

We extend special thanks to the award sponsors Resolution Institute, Artemis Executive Recruitment, Russell McVeagh, Simpson Grierson and Western Union Business Solutions for supporting this virtual event and the pursuit of legal excellence.
