The appointment of ten new senior associates will build on the firm’s offering in a range of practice areas, in particular, corporate and commercial law.
The firm’s Auckland office is celebrating six promotions, with Andy Martin, Bridgette White, Benjamin Sutton, Genevieve Simmers, Mathew Gribben and Aaron Harlowe named as senior associates.
Andy Martin advises on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and consortiums, commercial agreements, corporate governance, consumer law and other corporate advisory matters.
Bridgette White is a litigation and dispute resolution specialist, who has experience in contractual disputes, negligence, fair trading claims, insurance and fraud, criminal investigations and insolvency assignments.
With a focus on corporate and commercial matters Benjamin Sutton assists clients with mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, joint ventures, corporate governance, commercial contracting and cross-border matters.
A member of the firm’s national property and construction team, Genevieve Simmers, specialises in a wide range of matters including negotiation and documentation of leasing projects and commercial property transactions.
Also in the Auckland office, new senior associate Mathew Gribben is a member of the of the environmental and resource management team and advises on resource management, environmental and local government matters.
Another new senior associate, Aaron Harlowe, specialises in commercial litigation, with particular experience in dispute resolution, contractual disputes, insolvency and restructuring, employment and health and safety. He regularly acts for financial institutions, receivers and administrators.
The firm’s Wellington office has welcomed the appointment of two new senior associates: Julia White and Thaddeus Ryan.
Julia White advises on issues facing government clients and commercial clients in gaining statutory approvals for infrastructure projects, while Thaddeus Ryan has re-joined the team after spending three years working in London. Ryan has a particular focus on RMA consenting and designation processes for large infrastructure projects.
Another two senior associates have been appointed in the firm’s Christchurch office.
Anna Wishart is a member of the firm’s commercial team and is experienced in a range of property law matters, in particular, infrastructure projects relating to the Christchurch earthquakes.

He advised clients in relation to corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracting, consumer terms and conditions, and rural and residential property transactions.
