A statement was signed by nine law societies and bar associations
Leaders of law societies and bar associations from G7 countries around the world have signed resolutions condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine, following the G7 Bars Summit in Berlin. They unanimously made the following statement:

This statement was signed by the Canadian Bar Association, Law Society of England and Wales, Conseil national des barreaux, Bundesrechtsanwaltskammer, Deutscher Anwaltverein, Consiglio Nazionale Forense, Japan Federation of Bar Associations, the American Bar Association, and Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe.
CBA president Stephen Rotstein said in a statement that the CBA will continue to stand with its colleagues in Ukraine and with the entire Ukrainian-Canadian community across the country.
“We reiterate the importance of the rule of law as the foundation that supports democracy, human rights and freedoms,” said Rotstein.
