King & Wood Malleson’s partners from Australia joined colleagues from China, Hong Kong, Europe, UK and the Middle East on Monday to celebrate a new chapter for the firm’s EUME region.

The region was adopted by the China and Australia partnerships following the collapse of the legacy SJ Berwin arm of the verein and at an event in London, 60 partners and more than 120 clients and guests listened to the firm’s global chairman Wang Junfeng state its “unwavering commitment” to the region.

He said the firm will continue to build and strengthen its presence in the UK and elsewhere in the region, adding that “a strong foothold in this region is essential for us to continue to work with our clients operating or investing here.”
