Kiwi lawyer joins major SG law firm partnership
Allen & Gledhill has appointed Scott Clements to its partnership, welcoming the competition specialist from Drew & Napier.

Gledhill, who started his legal career as a senior investigator of the New Zealand Commerce Commission, was formerly a director and the deputy head of competition at Drew & Napier. He is a qualified advocate and solicitor in Singapore and a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.

Recognised by Chambers Asia-Pacific and Legal 500 Asia Pacific as a leading competition lawyer, Clements was a part of the first-ever abuse of dominance case in Singapore and the first set of appeals made to the Competition Appeal Board of Singapore regarding a cartel matter.

Clements’ experience as an office of the Commerce Commission is expected to bolster Allen & Gledhill’s competition practice, which the firm says is the largest dedicated competition practices in Singapore and the ASEAN region.
