The firm was one of just 17 organisations to make the cut
Hogan Lovells has been named one of the top LGBT employers in the world.
The firm joined just 16 other organisations in the Top Global Employers 2020 list compiled by LGBT rights charity Stonewall.
“Your place as a Top Global Employer 2020 recognises the global commitment Hogan Lovells has demonstrated to advancing equality for LGBT people,” said Charlotte Suttle, senior membership programmes manager at Stonewall. “We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to you and all those within your organisation working hard to stand up for the rights of your LGBT staff and of LGBT people everywhere.”
Stonewall based the list on submissions to its Global Workplace Equality Index, a benchmarking tool employers utilise to develop inclusive workplaces.
Bendita Cynthia Malakia, Hogan Lovells’s global diversity and inclusion lead, said that the firm’s inclusion in the list “among the world’s top organisations for equality is a sign of the global progress we have made and recognition of the impact our initiatives have had on our people.”
“The recognition of our firm in Stonewall's Top Global Employers List demonstrates our continued commitment to embedding an inclusive culture for our people and our clients. It is a global strategic priority for the firm that we aim to be truly representative of all individuals,” said Susan Bright, the firm’s incoming global managing partner for diversity and inclusion and responsible business.
Hogan Lovells has secured a place in Stonewall’s Top 100 Employers Workplace Equality Index and in its UK (LGBT+) Workplace Equality Index for 10 years straight.
“Our consistent rise in Stonewall's rankings reflects the firm's long term leadership and commitment to diversity and inclusion initiatives,” the firm said.
Other law firms that made the cut on Stonewall’s list of top LGBT employers worldwide were Allen & Overy, Baker McKenzie, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, Dentons, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Herbert Smith Freehills, Pinsent Masons and Simmons & Simmons.
