Highlight: 2023 Rising Star loves to give back through various community groups

Caitlin Laurenson is a specialist in matters involving residential and commercial conveyancing, asset planning, property development and subdivisions. She has been able to help first home buyers through her legal expertise, but more importantly, she loves being able to use her skills to help the youth and women in the Central Otago area.

Laurenson helms the Whakatipu Youth Trust group as co-deputy chair and trustee. She also leads a Cromwell-based professional women’s networking group that boasts more than 200 members.

She also serves as trustee and secretary at Queenstown Lakes Baby Box Charitable Trust. In addition, she is a committee member and secretary with the Cromwell and Districts Promotions Group, as well as a board member and secretary for Showbiz Queenstown Incorporated.

Laurenson was among the shortlisted candidates in the Rising Star category at the Wakatipu Community Foundation’s Spirit of the Wakatipu Awards 2021–2022.

Australasian Lawyer unveiled the 2023 Rising Stars last month.
