Firm appoints new CEO

A Hamilton firm has appointed a high profile CEO.

Law firm Tompkins Wake has appointed Jon Calder as Chief Executive Officer.

Calder joins the Hamilton headquartered firm after four years as Chief Executive of the New Zealand National Fieldays Society and Mystery Creek Events Centre.

“I was immediately attracted to the firm’s young, innovative partnership and their collective desire to not only practice law well, but run a successful business too.  I look forward to the challenges of working in the professional services sector,” Caldor said of the appointment.

Caldor has held senior positions in the transport sector, including at Air New Zealand.

“We’re thrilled to have Jon join our team.  His leadership experience, business acumen and the relationships he has in the commercial and primary industry sectors will be instrumental in successfully executing our strategy,” said Lachlan Muldowney, chairman of partners.

He officially started his new role on Monday 18 January.
