The Law Society warns that an email making the rounds almost certainly contains malware

The New Zealand Law Society has warned lawyers about an email using the name of a real accountant, saying that the email will likely harm the recipient’s computer.
The email, sent without the knowledge of the unnamed accountant “almost certainly contains malware,” the Law Society said.
Lawyers are advised not to click on or open any attachment the email has.
It is described as having “Fyi” in the subject line. The body reads: “See the attached shared on dropbox and let me know if you need help with anything.” It is signed “Cheers [first name].”
According to the organisation, the email contains a signature bearing the details of the accountant’s firm, with the correct email to company’s website but a different phone number.
