Dispute resolution expert makes partner

Auckland’s Grimshaw & Co has appointed Charles Lane as partner.

Lane specialises in large-scale construction litigation. He also manages insurance disputes, professional negligence claims, employment disputes, and insolvency matters.

He regularly represents clients in alternative dispute resolution, including in mediation. He frequently appears for clients before the High Court, District Court, and various tribunals.

Lane began as a solicitor at the firm in 2009, making associate in 2012 and senior associate in 2014.

He joined Paul Grimshaw, Bryan Easton, Andrew Hough, Gareth Lewis, and Sarah Mitchell as partners of the full-service litigation firm.
