The financial services company has chosen experienced lawyers as general counsel and head of legal

AMP appoints senior lawyers in NZ

AMP Financial Services has made two senior appointments in its legal team.

Tim Pritchard has been appointed as general counsel, while Jacqui Anderson has been appointed as head of legal, according to the New Zealand Law Society.

Pritchard, and expert in the financial services sector, has more than 25 years’ experience. He was a solicitor at Baker McKenzie in London, a senior solicitor at Russell McVeagh in Auckland, corporate counsel at the National Bank of New Zealand in Auckland, and associate general counsel at ANZ National Bank in Auckland. He was ANZ Financial Services’ head of legal before his promotion.

Anderson is also an experienced lawyer with more than two decades in the financial services sector. She started her career as a lawyer at Bell Gully before moving to Russell McVeagh, which was also in Auckland. She then became an associate at legacy SJ Berwin in London, before returning as an associate to Russell McVeagh. She then moved to JBWere as a legal contractor, before becoming a senior corporate lawyer at Tower Insurance.
