Tyler Bellingham is a Senior Associate at Rice Speir specialising in civil/commercial litigation, building, and local government law. She has the passion and the ability to think logically and strategically, enabling her to assist clients to make effective decisions to achieve their goals in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Bellingham began her legal career at a large litigation firm in Auckland, joined Rice Speir in 2015, and was appointed to her current role just last April. She is particularly experienced in complex litigation involving a range of negligence claims, contractual disputes, Fair Trading Act claims, construction, and insurance litigation.
Bellingham has represented numerous councils across the North and South Island in the High Court, District Court, Weathertight Homes Tribunal, and at mediations. She was also crucial to the success of the Cayman Apartments case in Tauranga, a challenging building defects claim against the council and others for $84 million.
