Sarah Wilson, DLA Piper Australia
Rising Stars 2020

Company: DLA Piper Australia
Title: Senior associate
Age: 30

Sarah Wilson is a highly skilled corporate M&A lawyer who combines technical excellence with a commercial approach to executing transactions. Wilson has been a consistent star performer for the team; taking a leading role on complex transactions, being a proactive mentor to junior lawyers, and building and maintaining extremely strong relationships with key clients. This resulted in her early promotion to senior associate in January 2018 after being admitted for just over four years. Wilson’s practice focuses on domestic and cross border private M&A, capital raisings and general corporate advisory. She also has extensive experience advising warranty and indemnity insurers on M&A transactions with deal values ranging from AUD50m to AUD500m. She acts for clients across a number of industry sectors but has particular experience in the consumer goods, life science and technology segments. Over the past year, Wilson has consistently provided strategic, commercial and legally astute advice to the partner group and to her clients. Her work has allowed the team to maintain and significantly grow client relationships. This is evident in the way that she has become a trusted advisor to AirTrunk, a fast-growing data centre operator, which is expanding rapidly around the world.
