Tropea championed his legal team of 12 to help AIA’s group and retail insurance divisions retain their number one position, and supported AIA’s joint-venture health insurance business “myOwn” in expanding its distribution footprint and integrating it with AIA’s existing life insurance products. Tropea oversaw and worked very closely with the New Zealand legal team to complete the $1.2 billion acquisition of ASB Bank’s life insurance business. And, he and his team also provided legal support for ‘AIA Vitality’, a unique, award-winning health and wellness program that promotes healthy lifestyles coupled with shopping rewards and discounts to insurance premium.
