Addisons, a Sydney-based full-service commercial law firm, has announced the appointment of Brigid Clark as a partner in its employment and workplace relations practice, as of Monday.

Kieren Parker, Addisons managing partner, welcomed Clark to the firm. Describing Clark as “highly respected,” Parker added that “her deep experience will enhance our already established Employment & Workplace Relations team.”
Clark has advised a diverse client base from sectors such as infrastructure, construction, technology, professional services, healthcare, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), the firm’s news release said.
Addisons shared that, with Clark’s appointment, the firm now has 24 partners, 46 percent of whom are women.
“Her approachable and practical style will be a complement to our now 24 strong Partnership,” Parker said in Addisons’ news release. “We are thrilled Brigid has joined the firm.”
Clark’s firm profile provides more information on her professional background and experience. A former work health and safety prosecutor, she focuses on all areas of employment, safety, and industrial law.
Her experience covers safety compliance, safety governance, and discrimination law. She has assisted clients with regulatory investigations and the intersection between safety, employment, and industrial issues.
“Employees are a company’s most valuable asset,” Clark said. “I work with my clients on all aspects of the employment relationship and provide practical advice for organisations to proactively manage workplace risks before they arise.”
Clark advised an FMCG business on a complex workplace investigation concerning fraud and misconduct allegations. She helped the company deal with employees’ stop bullying applications before the Fair Work Commission.
She assisted a technology company on safety compliance matters and helped it review workplace policies to ensure legislative compliance. She also advised a technology business on a workplace investigation arising from employee complaints claiming sexual harassment in the workplace.
Clark advised a manufacturing company regarding a workplace fatality and the consequent regulatory investigation. She also guided a sporting body through a workplace investigation rooted in a complaint alleging disability discrimination before the Fair Work Commission, which led to the employee discontinuing the claim.
She obtained her BA in communications (journalism) and her LLB (honours) from the University of Technology, Sydney.
