Maletic will lead HWL Ebsworth's venture capital practice
HWL Ebsworth has nabbed Jason Maletic, who co-led Ashurst Australia’s venture capital and high growth team, as the new head of its own venture capital practice.
Maletic is set to work within the corporate and commercial team in Sydney. He is the newest partner to join the office.
He concentrates on guiding strategic venture capital investors and early stage companies through to exit. His clients have included venture capital funds, early stage issuers, consortiums, high net worth investors, multi-national corporations, banks and financial services companies.
Maletic has tackled matters involving all aspects of investment, including due diligence, term sheet negotiation, seed funding, security terms for preference shares, warrants, convertible notes, employee share plans, trade sales, dual tracks and IPOs.
Earlier this year, HWL Ebsworth cemented its new leadership and governance structure with its new board of partners. It also elevated six to its partnership.
