Baker McKenzie has guided Count Limited through its acquisition of ASX lister Diverger Limited via scheme of arrangement.

The addition of Diverger's accounting and wealth brands through the deal enhances Count’s portfolio.

“The combination of these highly complementary businesses is expected to create a leading financial services provider with substantial increases in scale across Count’s existing wealth, accounting and services divisions”, lead partner Rick Troiano said.

Troiano spearheaded Baker McKenzie’s team alongside senior associate Daniel McGuiness. Alan Darwin, Maria O'Brien and Suami Campos also contributed.

UBS provided financial advisory services to Count.
