Anthony Drake is moving to the Wynn Williams partnership.

Drake, who will continue to be based in Auckland, comes from Kensington Swan, where he was the employment practice group leader.

A nationally recognised expert in employment-related issues, he acts in mediations, disputes, restructuring, and complex strategies. He also advises on employment agreements, dismissals, and redundancies, as well as the employment implications of commercial transactions.

Drake is an author of the book “Butterworth’s Form and Precedents” and is a founding member of the country’s Serious Fraud Office. He joins the firm on 1 January.

Jared Ormsby, Wynn Williams national managing partner, said that Drake’s depth and breadth of expertise in employment and health and safety law will further strengthen the firm’s employment law offerings.

Drake said that he is excited to join the firm during a period of sustained growth, particularly in his area of expertise.

With Drake’s appointment, Wynn Williams has grown its partnership to 20 senior lawyers.
