Omar Hemady joins as a partner in Boston
White & Case LLP has expanded its global mergers & acquisitions practice and global private equity industry group with the addition of Omar Hemady as a partner in Boston.
"Expanding our investment fund capabilities is crucial to our global private equity group, as client demand for funds expertise grows," said John Reiss, head of White & Case's global mergers and acquisitions practice. "Omar's experience makes him well placed to support our financial sponsor and investor side clients in the US, while also working closely with our global funds team."
Hemady brings a broad investment funds practice, with extensive experience advising asset sponsors on structuring investment funds and other alternative investment vehicles across a variety of asset classes, as well as representing investors in such funds. He most recently served as general counsel at Pathlight Capital LP, and he also brings experience from firms including WilmerHale; and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.
"Omar is a senior funds practitioner with strong market knowledge," said Oliver Brahmst, co-head of White & Case's global private equity industry group. "His arrival expands our presence in the Boston market, and builds on the prior investments we have made in our global fund formation capabilities, including the recent additions of Phillip Sacks in Dubai and Emily Brown in London. We look forward to integrating him into our team."
