White & Case boosts global debt finance practice with partner hire in Jakarta

White & Case LLP has expanded its global debt finance practice with the addition of Cindy Riswantyo as a partner in Jakarta.

"Indonesia is one of the largest and most dynamic economies in Asia-Pacific, and White & Case has been advising leading international and domestic clients on their key Indonesian matters for more than 40 years," said White & Case partner Eliza McDougall, head of the firm's global debt finance practice. "The addition of Cindy underlines our enduring commitment to Indonesia and our determination to continue growing our role advising clients on their most important deals in the market."

Riswantyo’s practice focuses on banking and finance, projects and debt restructuring. She has extensive experience advising on corporate and acquisition financing, as well as project and infrastructure development and financing and debt restructuring transactions. She advises commercial lenders, development banks, project developers, private equity firms and government guarantee funds.

With the rise in public private partnerships in Indonesia, Riswantyo has also advised on risk allocation in PPP structures and on concession agreements, including working with government agencies involved in PPP projects. She brings more than 15 years of experience, joining White & Case from Ginting & Reksodiputro, Allen & Overy's associated firm in Indonesia, where she was counsel.

"Cindy is an experienced debt finance and projects lawyer who advises international clients on their interests in Indonesia, and domestic clients including state-owned enterprises, Indonesian corporates and banks on their key deals in the market," said Kristo Molina, White & Case office executive partner in Jakarta. "Cindy's significant international and Indonesian market experience, combined with her exceptional technical skills and strong client relationships, are an exciting fit with our established and successful Indonesia practice."
