Wanted: Australia’s best arbitrator and mediator
With hundreds of legal professionals across Australia and New Zealand already submitting their nominations for this year’s Australasian Law Awards, Australasian Lawyer takes a look at the two profession-specific awards open for entry.

Categories for Australian Arbitrator of the Year and Australian Mediator of the Year were introduced to the Australasian Law Awards in 2017. Both supported by sponsor Resolution Institute for the second consecutive year.

Last year, Alex Baykitch was named Australian Arbitrator of the Year for his extensive experience and leadership roles in the arbitration space, while Stephen Lancken was named Australian Mediator of the Year for his broad experience and commitment to social justice.
